Flanders Image is committed to protecting the privacy of its contacts and visitors to its websites, and regards the protection of personal data as being of fundamental importance. Personal information is held securely and treated with the utmost care. Flanders Image complies with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act and other privacy legislation in Belgium.

Flanders Image uses this information to fulfil and process agreements with you, to provide other services, for its internal business processes, and to inform you of products and services provided by Flanders Image and by associated organisations such as the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF) and Screen Flanders.

The present Privacy Policy applies to the entirety of this website and its aim is to inform you of the ways in which Flanders Image, collects and processes your personal data, and supplies you with information concerning your privacy protection rights and the protection of your data.

Flanders Image Accounts

In order to carry out its promotional activities, Flanders Image (the promotional agency of the Flanders Audiovisual Fund – VAF vzw) may collect information (hereinafter ‘personal data’) concerning you on its online platforms: www.flandersimage.com, www.screener.be and connext.flandersimage.com.

A cross-platform account can be created by registering on one of these online platforms managed by Flanders Image. This account can, depending on the attributed rights, give you access to all Flanders Image platforms and to particular features such as selections of favourites, production line-ups and screening collections.

During this registration process, personal data is collected that makes it possible to determine your identity, such as your: first name, last name, company name, job title, email address, area of activity and time zone.

CONNEXT

The personal data of users of the CONNEXT platform will be processed within the framework of the digital edition of the event that will be held from 10 till 24 October, 2022. Such data will be processed for specific purposes geared towards giving the users the ability to:

  • Access the CONNEXT website and its exclusive content
  • Request and accept meeting requests with other CONNEXT participants
  • Add and save CONNEXT projects to a Favourites list
  • Stay posted on selected CONNEXT projects
  • Recommend CONNEXT projects to industry colleagues
  • Screen finished CONNEXT projects on www.screener.be

The email addresses will also be used to notify participants of any new meeting requests, pending and cancelled meetings, sent recommendations and keep me posted requests.
Your details will not be passed on to non-CONNEXT participating third parties.

If you have supplied us with your email address with the purpose to subscribe to our newsletter, this may be used to inform you of other relevant products and services provided by Flanders Image that may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive this information, you can unsubscribe at any time.

Security of processing

In its role as data controller, Flanders Image pledges to take all technological and organizational measures necessary to comply with applicable legal provisions, so as to ensure the security of the personal data collected. Flanders Image shall thus protect your personal data from any alteration, accidental or intentional loss, or non-authorized use, disclosure or access.

You are entitled to view the personal information Flanders Image holds on you at any time. If any information is incorrect, you can ask for it to be changed.
